Männen som slutade öka is Chaos Pals' debut album. The duo was formed by Olle Oljud and Girilal Baars in the early ’10s. In all these years, they have only made a handful public appearances. All of them iconic. In the early 00’s Olle and Girilal both went through a period of heavy Kaoss Pad addiction (KPI and KP3, for the technically bothered).

A decade later the sound was a bit outdated and we had both moved on to other sonic dependencies… One day, however, we had the idea of cross connecting our four KPs to each other. This enabled entirely new levels of instability and aleatoricism and proved irresistible to two sound-hooligans.

And so there you have it — Männen som slutade öka [Fellows Rebuking the Capitalist Doctrine of Continuous Expansion and Growth], a 9-track album devoid of nostalgia, meaning and purpose.

Olle Oljud is based in Gävle. He mostly works with music and art, occasionally branching out to performance, video and dance. His music is usually electronically constructed using home-built instruments, effects and voice. Contemporary art music, electroacoustic music, noise and improvisation are his main areas of focus.
