Ragnaröken is a collaboration with Sten-Olof Hellström. We perfgormed it at Fylkingen in STockholm on 20 October 2013. The text I used is a poem by the writer, composert and performer Åke Hodell (1919-2000). In 1967 he publisehd a book of poetry called "Nya Ddikter" [New Poems]. However, this collections was essentially a re-working of an eponymous collection by Verner von Heidenstam in 1915. Hodell's version is eactly the same as von Heidenstam's, but with huge blotches of ink hiding large parts of the text! I tkae this to be Hodell's explicit criticism of the mono-culturally nationalist original. Ragnarök is one of the poems in Hodell's book. |
